Chateau Jindřichův Hradec
The chateau, originally a Gothic castle in Jindřichův Hradec, was founded in the 13th century. Its founder was Jindřich of Nový Hradec, from the Vítkovec family, whose castle line belonged until the beginning of the 17th century, when the family died by the sword. The original construction of a small castle was completed by Oldřich I. of Hradec. A cylindrical tower was also built behind him to protect the entrance to his rooms. Under Henry IV. from Hradec, which acted as the highest burgrave of Prague, the castle achieved an improvement in protective equipment.
